Shadow - West Yorks

This beautiful girl is Shadow. She is 5 years old and looking for her forever home. Shadow spent 10 months in kennels last year while in the care of another rescue. Prior to that she had been part of a family with children. She has recently lived happily with children aged 6 and 8 years. Shadow is friendly with other dogs if properly introduced. She is not reactive to dogs while on the lead. She has shown no interest in pet rabbits and is unknown with cats. Shadow has had a tendency to fly at traffic on the road, including bicycles, but has improved hugely with this while in foster. She does pull on the lead but this could be addressed with ongoing basic training. Shadow is wary of men she doesn't know, inside her home, and is reactive at first. Once carefully introduced she is happy in their company and will play with toys. Introductions to men inside the home/garden need to be carefully controlled initially. Outside of the home she displays no aggression. Shadow travels well in a car but prefers the window to be open. She loves to play with toys, in particular a ball and responds to basic commands. She is not food or toy aggressive. Shadow is a wonderful example of the loyal GSD. She deserves to have her own family finally and will reward them with love and devotion.
