Rosie - Sunderland

Rosie is such a friendly and loving 2 year old girl.  She was really happy to see our assessor and once the assessor went inside the house she jumped onto the sofa next to her and snuggled in.  She does get a little excited but that’s to be expected because of her very young age.

She loves to play and will play with any kind of toys such as tug ropes, balls etc. She likes any kind of treats especially cheese and a Kong filled with peanut butter.  She also likes fruit especially banana or clementines although isn’t too bothered about vegetables.

The only thing that upsets Rosie is fireworks or any loud bangs.

She loves water and if given a chance would happily jump into a pool or stream.  She also likes to go to the beach although hasn’t quite figured out about the waves lapping onto the sand.

The owner tells us that she has a small cataract on her left eye but this has not got any worse and does not affect her vision.  The vet records state that she has a congenital cataract to the left eye with the possibility of one starting on the right.

Rosie gets left in the kitchen if the owner goes out and has been left for around 3-4 hours.  She will sleep in the kitchen but as she craves love and affection she would prefer to be with her owners.

The only reason for her being re homed is because of her owner’s declining health.  He sadly can’t give her the exercise she clearly needs or deserves.  She is at an age where she is so keen to learn and anyone willing to spend time with her especially with any kind of training would be well rewarded.  She would make an amazing companion or family pet.  She currently lives with a cat and gets on well with children of all ages although when excited she could knock a toddler over quite unintentionally.  The person/s who adopts Rosie would be very very lucky as she really is a smashing girl.
