Rocky is a mere 18 months and sadly looking for his 3rd and final home. He was adopted through the rescue when he was 6 months old. We had pulled him out of a home where he was being kept in a flat kitchen and not exercised.
He was adopted shortly after coming in but sadly had to be returned to rescue as he was showing behaviours that his owners could not deal with.
Rocky has spent the last 6 weeks or so in kennels destressing and calming down. He is an absolutely delightful boy but is also anxious. He loves his balls and toys, loves the water and splashing around and then loves to shake all over you. Whilst he is happy to charge around like a lunatic if you sit down for a rest he will gladly plop himself on your lap for a cuddle.
Rocky is very wary initially of strangers but take the time to get to know him he will be your best friend. He just needs to know that you are his friend. Rocky is looking for a calm quiet confident home who will give him lots of attention and affection. He can happily live with another dog. He will not excel in a busy home as it becomes too stressful for him.
He is fine with other dogs and has happily lived with another dog but being wary of strangers coming towards him he is muzzle trained for his own protection when out and about.
Rocky's ideal home would be an experienced home with a handler who is calm and confident. Rocky will not cope with weakness. He displays a lot of guarding issues in the home so either one person or a couple who are both confident and will give there all top Rocky. He really shouldn't be in kennels but we have to make sure that the home he goes to is the right home for him.
