Poppy

Poppy will arrive in the UK early September

Poppy and her brother Socks at the age of 6/7months were found living on rocks, nobody knew how long they have been there and it took the person who found them a month before he could gain their confidence until one night they followed him with his dogs back to his home.

They eventually although still nervous of humans adapted to being within the outside area of the family home, they got on well with the family dogs which varied in size....

Regretfully the family couldn't keep them with them and so they were moved into the kennel environment where they did not do well.

Because they were nervous, the kennels did not do anything to help them overcome this and they spent many weeks where they did not go outside at all and just had each other for comfort.

It was decided to split them so that they would stop depending on each other and learn to interact with other dogs and people.

Socks is in foster pending going into his forever home but Poppy needs somewhere to go now.

Poppy is currently in rescue where she mixes with other dogs well, she is still however very nervous around people.

Poppy originally had a foster home to go to in the UK but because she was too nervous to travel back then, that foster home has been lost.

Poppy needs an experienced home with another dog but without young children where she can gain confidence and learn to trust humans.

Poppy is 1 year old and spayed. In the right environment she will come out of her shell and thrive but her new owners will have to be calm and patient with her in the early stages.

This lovely girl has suffered at the hands of humans and now deserves love and kindness.

Are you that special person for Poppy?
