Sam - Plymouth

This handsome big fella is Sam who is a 4-year-old neutered male.

Sam is a very large dog who walks well on the lead, pulls slightly initially and he mixes well with other dogs. Despite his size, he shies away from confrontational dogs and prefers the company of small dogs. He also lives with a cat.

When our volunteer arrived he pinched her waist with his teeth which apparently he does out of affection or to gain attention. He also stole her cup of tea!

After the initial greeting, he went off to lie down so he is really good with visitors.

He has never lived with children but because of his size, we think he would be better in an adult only home or one with teenage children.

He loves carrots and peanut butter by all accounts.

Sam is being rehomed because his owner suffers from severe depression and he has become very tuned in to her anxiety and is responding accordingly.

Sam needs an owner who can spend time with him and give him the life he deserves - you won't be disappointed.
