Pippa - Teesside

Update from Pippa's foster home:

Pippa came to us as a very timid girl, hid behind Timber her dog friend and was wary of strangers. She has since found more confidence with living with us in a busy household, we have visitors daily of all ages, once she has had a sniff she will come back and settle for a fuss.

Pippa is living with our family dog and has regular visits from other family dogs. There has never been any issues at all with meeting small, large, male or female dogs, we have a menagerie in our mad house!

She is excellent with children, from our 7 month old grandson who they are both so gentle with, to our 13 year old teenager who Pippa is quite attached to.

Pippa has bad separation anxiety so will need a home where there is someone around most of the time as she craves the company of people and is very loving with her foster family, her anxiety has manifestations in her behaviour.

She will need someone who will take charge and give her confidence and she also barks constantly when there are visitors to the home and in the home and also barks when left home alone.

Original post:

Unfortunately Pippa needs to be re-homed due to her owner dying suddenly.

At first I could not get anywhere near Pippa as she is so timid. She is a lovely dog and did not show any sign of aggression at all. Although she did bark when I first entered the property she soon calmed down. Eventually she did let me stroke her when she was eating her dinner. This was the only time i could get near her.

Pippa lives with 2 other dogs Timber and Cassie. They all get on very well.

I was informed that she gets on well with the daughters dogs but not sure with other dogs as she has not been socialised with dogs outside of the property.

Whoever adopts this lovely dog will need to be very patient with her. Once she gets to know you I am certain she will be a very loving companion.
