PANZER

Panzer is a GSD x Husky who has sadly been in rescue for nearly 3 years without any interest whatsoever.

Panzer was pulled into kennels in July 2018 as he was living in hell. It took a fair few months to see the real Panzer and whilst he can come across as quite intimidating and dominant, he is actually a very nervous boy.

Panzer is looking for a strong but very calm handler who initially is willing to take the time to build a bond with him and visit him multiple times in kennels.

Someone who will also give him the space needed to trust.

He will need to be kept busy as he is a very clever boy.

He loves balls and toys and gets over excited around treats. Work on calming down before he is allowed a treat is going well.

He blows his coat 24/7, 365 days of the year so will need a home that doesn't mind hair. He is happy to be groomed by his carer now but again, it took time for him to build that trust.

He is very clean in his kennel, it is almost like he has OCD as he likes his bed to be neat and tidy.

In short he would be better suited too being the only dog in an adult only home with someone who understands the breed. Once he builds his trust, he will be a very loyal companion. Give him a job to do and he will be even happier.

We feel that Panzer needs the countryside, a farm or a small holding where he has a job to do. He will NOT cope in a town or busy place.

All dogs that come into our care have issues no matter how small so please don't overlook this boy, he is certainly workable if you have the patience required to build his trust.
