Ollie - Swindon

07/05/21

Meet Ollie who was sadly adopted in February but has been returned today

Ollie had bonded extremely well with the male adopter and over time this became increasingly difficult with the female in the house as he was guarding which has become unmanagable in the property. So with this in mind we feel it is best that Ollie has a home where the adopter is male and lives alone, we know this is a tall order but it seems to be what Ollie has been used to prior to him coming into rescue.

This was his previous post:

Urgent pet free foster or forever home for our lovely boy Ollie who must be wondering what the hell is going on

Ollie is approx 8 yrs old and finds himself in kennels through no fault of his own

He has lived all his life with his previous owner who adored him and Ollie was very bonded to, Ollie was protective of his dad and of the home probably fed from concern as his dad was taken away when he fell very poorly and the police were called to remove Ollie from the property

Ollie being a typical GSD was scared and had been left all alone for a week bewildered and wondering what was going to happen to him
The police then used a pole to remove Ollie from the home he felt safe and secure and took him to a kennels who then contacted us and asked for help
How could we not?

Ollie when first met by Derek Rogers was guarding the kennel and was very unhappy which given the above is understandable but Derek got him out and walked him and over time Ollie has become better and better as he seems to be settling into his new surrounding and although he does bark when you go to the kennel he has now not so fearful and will let the kennel staff attend to him

Ollie finds himself back at kennels and will sadly need to find a very unique home to save him from spending the rest of his life in kennels which is just devastating

If you are a single male, living on your own, will put Ollie in another room or muzzle him when you have visitors and have previous GSD experience please get in touch with us

As a team today we have all cried shed loads of tears at the prospect of poor Ollie spending his twilight years not in a loving home which he really does deserve.

We do not want Ollie to spend his twilight years in kennels.
