NERO - HERTS

We have been asked by another charity for our help in finding the lovely Nero a home...... he has sadly been in kennels over 2 years waiting for his special someone.

Today is a day for promoting our longer term dogs, dogs that don't get a great deal of interest or are just not suitable for every home through no fault of their own but still just as INCREDIBLE & DESERVING!

Nero is an amazing boy and ever so loving once he knows you, he likes nothing better than a lay down and to have a cuddle. Nero was originally trained to be a guard dog we believe but wasn't successful as he's too much of a softie, unfortunately this does mean he barks a lot when new people arrive to see him at the kennels and can put people off given his size.

Nero would make an incredible companion for someone. Ideally we would like his new family to be a person on their own as he does bond quickly and experience with bigger dogs would be beneficial. He is friendly with people he knows but doesn't cope well with more than one permanent resident in the house. We would like someone who is around a lot for this lad as he does display some separation anxiety when left.

He can be nervous of new people and other dogs and we do believe he's probably had some bad experiences in his previous life which means whilst off site we do walk him with a muzzle encase something scares him and to keep him safe.

Nero would benefit from a home with lots of land to run around and owners who have patience to give him a chance to settle and learn what it is to be loved in a home again. Nero is utterly adored by all staff and volunteers but he is wasted in kennels and has so much love to offer. If you think you could give this big loving bear a home please get in touch
