NALA - SOUTHAMPTON

This gorgeous girl is Nala a GSD x Husky who is sadly looking for a new home as she doesn't get on with the other dog in the home and her owners don't feel that they can cope.

Nala was bought as a puppy from a gumtree ad, she went to puppy classes but is an anxious young lady. She has always lived with another dog and had the occasional spat. More recently the spats have been a bit worse and the final straw came a couple of weeks ago when the owner had to step in to split them up. In defense of Nala she was in season and her hormones were probably all over the place.

Nala loves nothing more than her ball and will happily spend long periods of time playing ball or making her own games with a blanket and her ball (burying it in and then digging it out) Nala also loves stuffed toys that she will chew and pull apart. Loves her tummy being stroked and any other affection. Nala has a sweet tooth and has always been excited by sweet smells and foods - if you put on sweet smelling lip balm she likes to have a sniff and when eating sweets or popcorn she shows a lot of interest.Generally just enjoys sitting with someone and relaxing.

Her routine at home starts with a morning walk.Fed in morning and again in the evening.Nala will will let you know when she needs to the toilet, usually by standing at the back door and will bark or huff! Nala has learnt to use the same area in our garden. On occasion Nala has wee’d on the carpet downstairs at night but with the bedroom door closed it’s no longer an issue. Nala will play with her ball on and off throughout the day.At night Nala sleeps in our room, usually spend the first hour or so on our bed and will then go down into her own bed.

The volunteer thought Nala was adorable after the first  minutes of barking at her. Anoyhther one that she could happily have snuck into the boot of her car.

If you are an animal free home needing to fill it with legs and a very waggy tail look no further. Nala would like to be the only animal in the home. She would klike her new humans to spend time working on her anxieites and teaching her that being a dog can be fun.... Is Nala for you ? Please get in touch
