MAX - MILTON KEYNES

Max is in need of a foster or preferably a forever home. At 12 years young and weighing in at a portly 68kgs he is sadly looking for a new home due to his owner being moved into sheltered accomodation with no dogs allowed.

Max is a typical old boy. He barks at strangers on first meeting but once he has sussed you out he is generally fine. He is a bit wobbly on his back legs but having been for a health check with the vet, it is felt that being so overweight and not being exercised is the issue. Other than his weight and lack of muscle in the back legs the vet was very pleased with him, good heart and lungs.

Max has always lived on his own so we don't know how he would be with other dogs.

Max is currently on a diet and his exercise is being built up very slowly. He should not be taken on LONG walks as this will be detrimental to his health. He needs short walks 3 to 4 tmes a day, building up time as his legs start to build muscles.

Max is currently in kennels which is no place for an old boy so if you could offer him a retirement home to see out his days I am sure he will be eternally grateful. The oldies always get left out, there must be someone put there with a big heart ???/
