Millie - Doncaster

Update September 2018: Millie the Malinois has been adopted

Millie has returned to us again sadly. This is the second time that she has come back and neither time was through any fault of her own. Both owners were reluctant to let her go but have had health issues. Her last owner is devastated but is gravely ill.

Millie was not easy to settle in either home. You have to gain the measure of her. She is a Malinois. She has boundless energy, coupled with a ferocious intelligence and a high prey drive. But she is also very affectionate and playful and drop dead gorgeous. She can play happily with other dogs but needs to be introduced carefully and could use more socialization experience.

I must stress that any prospective owner must be up to the Malinois challenge. They are immensely rewarding dogs but you must be an experienced owner and assume a leadership role immediately. If not, Millie will assume that herself, given half a chance.

But the rewards are many. Millie has lived as a well trained much loved dog in her two last homes. She is a pure bred dog from well known breeder, as we know from her chip details. She would make an excellent competition dog in agility or working trials. She has oodles of talent and sheer charisma and she is a cuddle monster to boot.

Are you up to the Malinois challenge?
