LOLA - ESSEX

Lola is 7 years young, a gsd x malamute sadly looking for a new home due to a change n the owners circumstances.
She is spayed vaccinated and microchipped.

Lola is a fairly vocal girl who likes everyonein the street to know that she is there. She has the "chatter" of a malamute but the looks of a GSD

Lola does live with another dog and the volunteer on arrival once introduced gave them a treat. Lola was definitely getting the treat first so could be quite dominant if she was to live with another dog. She knows her commands but there is no duration to these. If asked for a sit she will do so but them immediately break out of the position.

Lola was diagnosed with Anal Furunculosis last year and put on some lovevly drugs that have made her gain about 10 kg's in weight. After taking some advise she has stopped all medication and the AF is now controlled naturally through a better diet and colloidal silver spray. Due to her weight gain her owner has not been able to walk her and the husband is often away working so Lola is not getting the exercise to help reduce her weight

Lola is partial to drinking out of the toilet if she can, so some bad habits that need to be controlled

Despite all this Lola is a lovely girl who loves her ball, Due to the hot weather when the assessment was done the volunteer wasn't happy to take Lola for a walk, With her black coat and being on the tubby side she was pantng hard from just being in the garden. We are told that she walks well with the husband.

In short Lola is looking for a home that is fairly quiet due to "chatter" . We wouldn't place her with young children due to her eagerness around food. being quite dominany we think being the only dog in the home would work. She will need slow build up of exercise to help her lose some pounds. In general a beautiful girl who is looking for that special home ....
