Jorji-Lancashire

Jorji will celebrate her 2nd birthday on 1st January 2021. Her owner paid to get her off the streets in Turkey and safely in the UK but sadly the pack dynamics of her household hasnt worked out and Jorji isnt settling. Our volunteer found a very people friendly young dog who was happy to see him and say hello. However outside on a normal collar Jorji was very strong and lunging at any dog she saw but once he put a leather slip lead onto her, she settled and understood that pulling and lunging werent acceptable, therefore a confident new owner who can give Jorji some direction and socialisation will reap the benefits tenfold.

Jorji lives with two other dogs one of which is another overseas rescue. He sadly is very anxious with issues that arent being rectified since Jorji joined the pack. The two dogs feed off each other and there is no harmony within the household. Therefore it would be lovely if Jorji can find an understanding home where she is the only dog and she can start her new life in the UK without further distractions in the home.

She is a loving girl who just needs to find someone to give her the confidence to get through daily life without any anxious feelings. Our volunteer felt her lunging at other dogs was more of a nervous "hello". If you feel you can help Jorji settle and be calm in a UK home please get in touch with your area co ordinator, once your home check has been approved.
