This handsome boy finds himself in a sad situation needing to be rehomed through no fault of his own, due to a family break up. He will lose his carers and his companion. Jago has lived happily with a female GSD but his owner feels that it is better for the dogs to be rehomed separately so that each receives more attention. They were both appreciative of personal attention when walked separately.
Jago is an affectionate dog, who loves his family and is keen to please. Our assessor found him easy going and laid back. He is said to have no issues . He pulls a little on the lead at first but then walks nicely. He can live with another dog but his owner thinks he would be better as a sole companion, as he is so human orientated . Jago is said to be good with children and dogs. He is wary of the latter but is said not to be dog aggressive. As usual, our assessor was unable to encounter another dog to test this.
All in all, Jago offers an opportunity to adopt a well adjusted, well trained friendly boy. He will be an 'easy' dog for any experienced GSD owner. He might be less of a challenge than most, but please remember that he is every bit as much in need. And, don't forget, he is a very handsome boy.
