Jade - West Yorks

Jade, age 5, is looking for her forever home and hopes it will be the best. She’s had a rough time. After her owner sadly died she was taken into the care of GSDR in a bit of a state. A good bath and brush up later this beautiful girl emerged. She has had a horrendous infection in her foot, which has now cleared and she has no residual effects from this.

Jade is a big dog and very strong on the lead. She needs work with regards to this and building her confidence when outside of the home. She’s overwhelmed by things but doesn’t react badly. Gradual exposure to the delights of the outside world will address this.

Jade is a perfect family pet but needs to be the only dog in the home. She is reactive in the home to some other dogs but ok outside. Jade is fabulous with kids and has been in foster with 2 children aged 7 and 9 for over 2 months. With many kids visiting the house she has been thoroughly tested. She is very gentle with them and doesn’t jump up or knock them over. Jade does jump up at her foster mum, who has been working on stopping this. She doesn’t do it with anyone else.

Jade has no food or toy aggression. She’s not cat tested but any possible introductions must be done very very cautiously. She has shown interest in the family rabbit, but not unduly. Jade doesn’t travel well in a car. She’s often sick and has had other accidents. She is well behaved but travel is not for her, other than short journeys.

Can you offer Jade the home she deserves? She’s a fantastic, loving and loyal dog who is much loved by her foster family.
