INDIE - MILTON KEYNES

Indie is a short haired black and tan young lady who is microchipped and spayed

She was sadly living in an environment that was  not doing her any favours.. There is no shadow of a doubt that her owner loved her but this is her first shepherd and sadly she has not put boundaries in place and Indie feels the need to run the home. She is basically a big puppy. For this reason we have pulled her into kennels where they have said that she is a delightful young lady who doesn't have an ounce of aggression but also doesn't know basic commands. This is something that they are obviously working on.

The assessor thought Indie to be a delightful young lady who just needs boundaries and regular exercise. She does need a knowledgeable owner because Indie has her own rules and these will need to be changed. Indie will resource guard certain things.... She may knick a tissue and if you try to take it away she will snap. She also likes to aquire the tea towels. All trainable issues with a confident handler.

We have had another volunteer who has kindly offered to go in a help with the walking of Indie. She feels that Indie just needs normal exercise discipline and leadership. She has walked her and finds her more inquisitive than aggressive. She also feels that she maybe able to live with a calm older dog that she can learn from. 

Again careful introduction will be needed. When out she is a nervous wreck. The volunteer has taken her to a school so that she can see kids cars and bikes and she is looking to the volunteer already for direction.

This young lady really does deserve to live her life and blossom into the dog that she should be....
