HERMAN - PORTSMOUTH

URGENT REHOME OF THIS STUNNING BOY PLEASE.......

Herman is wary of strangers and he will bark when he first meets them. He needs someone with the time and understanding of the breed. Herman is looking for a calm handler who initially is willing to take the time to build a bond with him and possibly visit him a few times at kennels first.

Herman is an anxious boy who will lunge and bark at anyone who comes near his kennel. If you sit quietly outside his kennel and play with a ball he will slowly calm down and start to interact. Once you have his trust he is manageable to do most things with, like brush him, he can sit and give paw and likes having a tummy rub. A paddling pool would go down nicely as he likes water. Chasing tennis balls is fun as well.

Herman had a mesh muzzle left on when he was found. He is now being trained to wear a Baskerville in case one is needed

As with most rescues he needs time and patience and be allowed to trust and come forward in his own time. We feel that Herman needs a calm confident home who will build his confidence levels. Herman is not for a novice home he is a typical GSD who just needs to be pointed in the right direction.
