Ace in East Yorkshire

Update November 2019: Affectionate Ace has been rehomed

The most immediate characteristic that people notice about Ace is that he is affectionate. He loves people, even strangers,  of all ages, and adores little children. He is the most sweet natured boy in the house and loves attention of all kinds.

Ace has lived happily with a variety of dogs in the home but he is another dog outside. He was attacked as a pup and we think he has never recovered from this trauma. He was not consistently socialised, when small, and now that he is older, his inherent nervousness manifests as aggression towards strange dogs. This has been a long standing issue that has not been addressed until now. Nowadays, in his present foster home, this unwanted behaviour is consistently checked. It is clear that Ace is still a 'work in progress' but there is a discernible improvement, even in only two weeks. We feel sure that this could be built upon further, given with the same kind of calm authoritative leadership as he experiences now. We believe that there is every chance that Ace could become a much more confident boy who can tolerate other dogs.

His foster carer will give prospective adopters complete feedback and guidance upon how to continue her work.

Are you willing to put the time in for this lovely affectionate boy?
