Duke - Lancashire

Duke is looking to be re homed by a rescue this time as sadly doing it privately a few months ago ended up with Duke being found as a stray and taken to Manchester Dogs Home. His original owners were happy to collect him and keep him safe whilst he once again tries to find a new home. They only re homed him originally due to both parties working long hours. Duke met our volunteer with a bark and he is the type of dog who comes straight over to you to check you out but no aggression just a dog who likes to make the first move. He is a GSD X Akita who has been neutered. He lives quite happily with 2 cats and is okay around older children. Outside he is strong on the lead and has good recall off lead. He is okay with other dogs as long as they dont get too in his face. In the house if he wants to go out the back he rattles the back door keys. Duke has always been grumpy when being fed and as long as you leave him alone to eat his food he is fine.  He is safe now and well looked after his owners just want to find the right home for him where he can get the attention he deserves.
