Dexta - Conwy

Meet the very handsome Dexta who is just 2 years old and neutered.

Dexta lives in an adult only home and has never been with children although he is a very gentle, friendly, loveable boy with people he knows. He is a very large GSD at 45kg so we think he would be best in a home with older children only as he might knock little ones over.

Dexta has good recall, perfect house manners, he likes being groomed, will take medication from your hand and he loves to play.

Dexta does pull on the lead when he sees another dog and barks so he will need to be walked on a head collar. He has not had much socialisation when he sees another dog he wants to play. He will chase cats.

He loves going out in the car, he is used to a lot of space and he is used to going out every day with his dad for a walk.

He greeted our volunteer by half hanging over the gate going straight to her bringing her his toys to play with and throw for him. He got excited when he saw his lead as he knew he was going for a walk. Although he is strong he walked well on his halti, although his owner did say that he will pull when excited. He loves his toys, playing, the sea and water. He is a real gem who our volunteer fell in love with.

Dexta is being rehired because his owner is elderly and he has pulled him over several times.
