Leo - Cambridgeshire

Leo : a truly lovely boy

Update February 2019: Leo has been re-homed

Poor Leo has not had much luck in life. He was bought from Gumtree by his present owner. She then had an accident and has remained disabled. Leo was then left for months, whilst she was recuperating, and since then, she has not been able to care for him as she would wish. It is a testament to this boy's good nature that he remains friendly and well adjusted. All his puppyhood was disrupted and he is not walked. Despite this, he still welcomes carers to the house who come and go at will.

Our assessor said that Leo became excited when the lead was brought out. But he proved to be easily controllable and knows basic commands. We are told that he is not interested in cats and is not aggressive towards other dogs. Our assessor met another dog whilst walking and Leo was friendly towards him and he currently lives happily with an older female Collie.

Leo will make a wonderful addition to any family. He is only a youngster still and younger in experience than his years. He can be shy initially, but soon gains confidence when he knows a stranger. He is intelligent and willing to learn. Poor Leo would more than respond to a normal life and the interest and stimulation that he has sadly lacked.

If you are looking for a cheerful compliant boy then Leo is the one for you.
