Ben - Cambridgeshire

Update March 2019- Ben has been rehomed.

GSD x Lab Ben has had a disjointed life. He was rehomed by his current owner when she moved house. That did not last and so he has come back to her. However, she feels that her home is too small to give Ben the scope that he deserves. Perhaps a more serious issue for her is that Ben is uncertain with her young grandchildren. When they come he has to be shut away.

Other than for this trait, Ben is a relaxed friendly dog. He is fine in the house and loves to snuggle with a resident thirteen year old boy. He also lives very happily with a kitten! Our assessor describes him as calm and friendly.

Sadly Ben is more of a challenge outside the house. He has not been trained to lead work and pulls very strongly. His recall is not good either and, as a result, he now does not get exercised.

This boy has many good points but he does need to be taken back to basics and thoroughly trained to the lead. For someone, who is looking for a dog to live with their cat, this investment could be very worthwhile.
