Buddy in Suffolk

Update: February 2020 - Buddy has been rehomed

Poor Buddy is being rehomed through no fault of his own. His owner and he are very closely bonded but he needs to let Buddy go to a home where he can have more attention and training. It is only a change of his own circumstances that has brought him to this realization. Buddy is being left for long hours each day in a crate.

It is fair to say that Buddy does lack the basics of training. He is not even properly house trained. He pulls on the lead and does not know how to walk under lead control. He can still puppy mouth and has scant regard for boundaries - they have never been delineated. Buddy is a pup in an adult body. Added to this, Buddy is of a nervous disposition and is strongly bonded to his owner. He panics when handled by other people, when his owner is not around. He has not been socialized and, although he is said to be good with other dogs children and cats, it was not possible for our assessor to establish this. Having said this, he could see that Buddy is sweet natured and playful, when relaxed with his owner.

This young boy has potential in spades but he will be hard work. He is both untrained and of a nervous disposition. Buddy will probably need to be handled by his owner at first and to do multiple meets until he gains confidence,

Is there anyone who is an experienced owner who could take on this challenge? He will more than repay the effort invested.
