Boson - Teesside

Meet Boson, an approximately 6 year old Belgian Malinois from Romania who is looking for a very special forever home.

He gets on well with other dogs and currently lives with a small female dog in his foster home. He is however, a typical Mali and is quite full on with his play which some dogs may not appreciate. He has never shown any aggression with other dogs but will retaliate if a dog starts on him.

He is excited to greet visitors to the home but can jump up and nip in excitement but there is no malice in it and he has never shown any aggression at all towards people.

He is fine being left for a short time with something to chew but would be best suited to having someone home most of the time as he loves to be with his humans.

He likes his walks and walks beautifully on the lead.

Boson has epilepsy which is well controlled and he hasn’t had a seizure since November so the medication he is on currently will need to be continued to keep this under control.

Boson is very fixated on his ball and likes to have it with him at all times. He will constantly give it to you and want you to play with him and this behaviour is quite compulsive. The vets suggested that this behaviour could be due to damage from his seizures as his epilepsy was unknown until he went into foster so may have been unchecked for some time. He likes to always have something in his mouth so would benefit from lots of toys!

Boson is a lovely boy but the ball compulsion can become quite wearing so you need to be aware of what you are taking on as he will follow you everywhere with his ball! Combine this with his typical Mali lack of an off switch and he isn’t the easiest dog but his friendliness and cuddles more than make up for this in our opinion!

He needs a very special and committed forever home, he deserves it.
