Blitz - North Yorks

June 2022 update

Blitz is still in kennels, patiently waiting for a home. We don't understand why, as this smart and gorgeous boy has so much going for him.
Blitz has come a long way since he first arrived at kennels. He's been going on lots of walks with other dogs and doesn't react to them, just ignores them. He also walks good on the lead.
He is very clever and will look up to his handler for directions. If he gets bored on a walk, he starts sniffing and digging, so his mind needs to be kept stimulated. He'll engage with his handler and work for treats or a toy. He knows commands such as sit, down, stay, speak etc...  He would thrive in an active home where he also gets to do plenty of training or has a job to do.
This beautiful boy is very good around other dogs when he's on the lead, but off lead he is not too keen on other males. He would be best suited to a home where he is the only dog, or could possibly live with a calm female with careful introductions. He has had a play off lead with females and got along fine.
Blitz used to be fearful of the outside world and anything unfamiliar, but has since been exposed to new environments, traffic, and people and he absolutely loves to jump in the van to go on a little adventure.
Blitz has spent most of his young life in kennels, but he is a delight. He's always smiling and ready to work with you. He is also keen on a belly rub...  This does not mean that he is for the faint hearted, as being a mali, he has a high drive and energy levels.
Due to his breed and the fact that he has never lived in a real home environment, we are looking for an experienced home for him, He needs a committed and confident handler who can give him the time he needs to settle and help him on his journey to a normal life and being part of a family.
