Betty - West Yorks

Betty is 4 year old; she is looking for a home due to being abandoned by the owner along with her 17 year old daughter who is having all on looking after herself. Sadly the young girl is being evicted and has no means of providing a roof for Betty and also realises that she doesn’t have the time to be able to look after her and give her what she needs.

Poor Betty isn’t getting out much, so she has become rather excited and hyper. Our volunteer said she is still very much like a pup, very excited and giddy, diving about and so happy to see everyone. She was very friendly and just in need of some guidance, a permanent home and family where she will feel secure.

The owner’s sister said Betty is an energetic clumsy girl, loves everyone but a little protective of owners and children, only to be expected. Loves a long walk and a belly rub. She can be too much for some dogs and gets over excited and barks at them. They've used a harness as initially she can be a little strong. Slow introductions at first with other dogs, but once she has a routine and regular exercise I’m sure Betty will settle down.

Urgent home required, as per above Betty will be homeless in a few weeks.
