Bear - Tyne & Wear

Bear - Tyne & Wear

Meet the lovely Bear, a very nervous and unhappy lad of only 11 months.  Originally from Romania, he is being rehomed by his owners as he has developed some behavioural issues. Bear’s been given few boundaries, and is behaving like a young hooligan.  He has lived with another dog before but not cats, and he would be unsuitable to be rehomed with children.

This poor boy will nip his owners when seeking attention and will constantly bark at visitors and show his teeth; he can also jump up aggressively, and he currently barks at everything in the house.  He barked incessantly at our volunteer during the visit and was too agitated to accept any reassurance.  He was walked on a lead - and has never been let off lead due to his issues - and barked all the time and showed aggression towards other dogs, even when on the other side of the road.

Bear needs to build a relationship with a confident handler and to have a stable home life and start back at the beginning of his training.  With time, training and socialisation, he’s sure to reward his new owners.

Would you have the necessary experience to help this distressed young dog grow into the lovely confident adult he can surely be?
