BEAR - MILTON KEYNES

This young man is sadly in kennels after 24 hours in his new home......

He is said to be fearful of visitors and doesn't like to be touched by strangers. He barks when he is nervous but will eventually calm down. He hasn't been off lead as he tends to react badly when out of the home. He also doesn't like water.

This lovely boy needs time to settle, he needs space to understand his situation and decide for himself that he will be ok. Things like this CANNOT be rushed. He is not the sort of dog that you can take home smother and expect everything to be perfect. He needs to be given space and ignored

The assessor found Bear to be a lovely affectionate boy after his initial barking. After being handed some special treats he thought that she was potentially a very nice lady so went to check her out, sat on the sofa with her and even gave her kisses.... He has lived with 2 cats, a Chihuahua and a very young baby. He took no interest in the baby , got on well with one of the cats but liked to chase the other.

The only command Bear knows is sit. The assessor was advised that bear would not go for a walk so she took him. She said that he was so excited to be out he had that happy bouncy walk. He has no lead sense, he criss crosses you all the time. He wasn't fazed by anything that they passed except for a lunge and a bark at a cat. He passed people and pushchairs without incident.

Bear loves his ball and treats so should be any easy boy to train. His owners clearly love him but sadly isn't providing Bear with what he needs. He needs an owner with experiencce who can give him the confidence that he lacks at present.

If you are experienced with the breed and have the time and patience for this beautiful boy please fill out an adoption form. He really doesn't deserve to be in kennels he is far too young .
