Bear - Abercynon

Please meet Bear a stunning 2 year old neutered male, German shepherd cross looking for a new home due to his owners change of circumstances.

Bear is a big, strong lad weighing in close to the 50kgs mark. His family think he may be crossed with a husky due to his eyes and nose. He is a friendly boy with people and greets visitors warmly. He has been around children from toddlers upwards and is gentle with them.

His only vice is he will lunge at dogs on lead, he previously lived with a dog but new dogs out and about are too much for him. He needs someone who can take him to classes and work with him to overcome this behaviour, his size makes this more of a challenge so it is important that any applicants are capable of holding a dog his size.

He has good recall, although due to his behaviour with other dogs he is mostly kept on lead. He enjoys his walks and travels well in the car. He’s housetrained and happy to be left for up to 4 hours at a time.

Bear is really hoping some one can take him on who will put the time in to teaching him how best to behave around other dogs. In the home and around people he is a fantastic companion. If you think he might be the one for you please get in touch.
