Balu in Lincolnshire

Update June 2020 - Beautiful Caucasian Shepherd BALU has a home.

The response of our assessor was: 'I would have taken him in a heartbeat ... anyone adopting this boy will think they have won the lottery'. Balu is clearly a very special boy. He is described as a 'gentle giant' - which is not always the case with this breed. He presents prospective adopters with a very special opportunity

Balu is a lovely friendly affectionate boy. In addition, he is well trained with good recall, and walks sweetly on lead. He is a said to be a 'gentleman' and good in the home but happily spends time in an outdoor kennel as well, when his owner is not around. All in all, Balu represents a chance to own a well trained and gentle member of an unusual and valuable breed.

So why is Balu being rehomed? Well, there is one problem. Balu is not great with other males. He lives, happily, with a female boxer but cannot resolve a dominance issue with the other resident male dog in the household. As Balu is the younger dog, his heartbroken owner feels that he stands a better chance of being adopted and he is young enough to start a whole new life.
