Axel - Teesside

REHOMED

When I arrived Axel sounded very aggressive as though he wanted to tear me apart but his tail was wagging. I sat near him and just ignored him, eventually he came over to me and let me stroke him. He became very friendly and even rolled over to have his stomach stroked.

It is quite obvious that he is very wary of men but once he gets to know you he is very friendly. His initial reaction when you go to stroke him is to flinch but when he realises you don't mean to harm him he enjoys a stroke/loving. When I called him to me he came no problem at all, he will sit on command but will not give you his paw.

I was told he reacts badly to adult males when taken for a walk, I took him for a walk but unfortunately due to the heavy rain we only encountered a woman and her daughter who he did not react to at all.

Axel lives with 2 children and adores them, he also lives with another GSD female who he gets on very well with.

Axel is a lovely looking dog and when he gets over his initial anxiety he is very friendly towards adult males. He will make someone a lovely companion.
