Arnie-Norfolk

Arnie-Norfolk

REHOMED

6yr old Arnie is a very special lad who has made remarkable progress since coming coming into GSDRs care. He is a lovely lad who has won the hearts of all at the kennels, and several people outside the kennel environment too. He is now settling into foster care and is learning to live with other dogs.

Arnie was bought as a puppy as a companion for his elderly ill owner whose health deteriorated. Until coming into the care of GSDR Arnie hadn't been walked for over a year. He had missed out on all the socialisation that a dog needs.

After many hours of love and confidence building Arnie now walks well on a lead and is fine with other dogs he meets when out walking. He regularly attends GSDR group walks and is walked weekly by several different volunteers. Arnie has been good with the dog savvy children he has met. Arnie does show some food aggression in kennels but he hasn't shown any food aggression with treats while out and about.

Arnie can be a bit grumpy and does like his own space although since being castrated he has mellowed and enjoys a fuss if he is in the mood. He doesn't like his feet being touched, being groomed or going to the vets

Adorable Arnie is now in foster, but so needs to find a home of his own. If you can help this lovely boy please get in contact.

In foster with Mel Harris... decided to adopt 18/05/2013
