DOGS TAKEN FROM DEATH ROW

These lovely dogs were all in dog pounds and due to be put to sleep. They are all in the care of GSDR in boarding kennels and now need loving homes

These dogs have all been picked up as strays or handed in because their owners no longer wanted them. We have little background on them but they all need loving understanding homes.

Layla

layla white gsd

This pretty little girl was minutes away from being put to sleep in the pound. Her crime was to be a stray. After spending weeks in the pound, she was so stressed she became aggressive. Our volunteer spent some time with her, gained her trust & she is coming along great now. Only a young girl , approximately 18mths old. Please give the pound dogs a chance, the beautiful Layla, was so close to losing her chance.

Stan Lee

white gsd

How this beautiful young boy came to be picked up and taken to the dog pound, we will never know. Whoever owned him, has looked after him very well. His coat is gorgeous, his teeth beautifully clean and his nails are worn short. He is a little wary especially of men but that is probably because of what has happened to him. He was very stressed in the dog pound but he is now in foster and has completely chilled. He is a lovely calm, well behaved dog who seems fine with other dogs. He may be wearing this beautiful white fur coat instead of a b/t one, but he is still a fine example of a GSD. Someone is going to get a wonderful companion. Check out Stan Lee in his foster home with friends

Hamish

hamish

Hamish is a 4 year old neutered male.  He gets very excited and tends to jump up, he just needs someone who can spend time with him, training him properly. He is probably better off in a house with older children as he can get very giddy. He is a big dog and very timid until he gets to know you. He is very strong and pulls on the lead.

"How Could You?" should bring tears to your eyes. It is very sad fact of life that many faithful pets have become disposable items and will be discarded, no longer required. Many of these will die unwanted, unloved and alone having spent the last few days, weeks or months in a filthy dank dirty kennel. Their final reward - a lethal injection!!

Poor Archie wasn't quite so lucky. His story highlights the plight of older dogs
