German Shepherd Rescue Needs Helpers
German Shepherd Rescue is a voluntary organisation and depends on the goodwill of GSD owners/lovers to help us continue our rescue work.
ALL VOLUNTEERS WILL BE VETTED AND POLICE CHECKED
Because of the success of the website, German Shepherd Rescue has become a victim of it's own success. Whilst we have alarge network of helpers across the UK - WE NEED MORE!
Regional co-ordinators
To liase with people that have passed a homecheck, arrange for transfer of suitable dog and organise relevant paperwork. Areas - north west, south east, south west, central.
Homecheckers
We need responsible homecheckers (german sheperd experienced ) to assess suitability of potential new owners.
Dog Assessors
Experienced German Shepherd owners required to assess german shepherd dogs that require rehoming across the UK. We need people that are capable of giving an accurate assessment on any German Shepherd Dog. Must be capable of dealing with dogs that may have behavioral problems.
General admin - secretarial support
Are you good at paperwork? Can you help us keep accurate up to date records and generally keep us on track!
Transport
Can you give up a bit of time to help us move dogs around the UK? Dogs often have to be moved into a place of safety.
Fund Raisers
We rely totally on donations to fund the rescue work which helps us pay vet bills and kennel fees. At present we do not have our own kennels and have to rely on expensive commercial boarding kennels to house at risk dogs. We aim to raise money to build our own kennels.
