Marlon
This cute boy is Marlon, approximately 2 yrs old and entire. Marlon was found tied to fence with Brando, did their time in the pound & then came to us. They are both lovely friendly dogs. Marlon quite playful, fine with other dogs. Strong on the lead. Paid no attention to the cats at the kennels. Travelled well in volunteers car. A really nice dog. Would like him to be rehomed with Brando, as they are very close, but will rehome separately.
Brando
Brando was picked up with Marlon, and are obviously related in some way, as they are very alike. Brando is approximately 3 yrs old, and neutered. A really nice friendly dog, not as playful as Marlon, but still good with other dogs. Seemed fine with volunteers 11 yr old son, and ignored cats & chickens at the kennels. Travelled really well in the car, in fact he started snoring! Needs a nice loving home of his own now.
Charlie
This big gorgeous bear is 5 yr old, entire male, Charlie. A nice, friendly guy with everybody at the kennels. Loves being bathed & groomed. Not vacc'd or chipped. Clean in his kennel. A really lovely looking boy. A failed security dog, because he jumped up & licked 'burglars' faces. Seems ok with dogs in kennels.
Amber
This pretty lady is 15 month old, unspayed bitch, Amber. Vaccinated, not microchipped. Amber has had a mixed up life so far. Amber gave birth to 10 puppies when she herself was only 13 mths old, and 9 out of the 10 puppies died. Amber needs building up, as she is thin, and not in good condition. Although now in foster care with another gsd she is coming on leaps and bounds. Amber is a shy lady, with absolutely no aggression in her. She is fine with children of all ages. Amber is also good with dogs & cats.
Buddy
This handsome boy is 5 yr old entire male, Buddy. Greeted our volunteer nicely, really pleased to see somebody visiting! Buddy is tattooed, not microchipped. not upto date with vaccinations. Housetrained. Buddy walks nicely on the lead, and loves to play, especially frisbee! Fine with children, but is a big boisterous dog, so older ones only. Buddy is fine with bitches, but can be a bit dominant with males. Buddy needs a home as his owners ill health means he isnt getting walked.
Samson
This very stunning man,is 9yr old,neutered male, Samson. Vaccinated & microchipped. Samson is lead trained & has good recall. Samson's owners have a new baby & another on the way, & Samson isnt coping well with this, as he has always been the 'baby'. Samson welcomes visitors to the house with a waggy tail & is generally very playful. Met cats when assessor walked him & he showed no interest at all. Samson will be a wonderful dog for any family with older children.
Sam
This is 3 yr old, neutered male, Sam. upto date with vaccinations, flea'd & wormed. Sam is a very loyal dog, who protects his owner a bit too well! He loves agility & can jump extremely high! Sam needs a strong, experienced owner. Sam did lunge at strangers & other dogs when on walks, but with the help of a behaviourist has managed to make significant improvements in his behaviour. Loving with his owner. Housetrained. Travels well.
Crystal
This stunning little lady, is 11 month old, unspayed bitch, Crystal. A highly strung, lively girl, who needs discipline. Crystal is vaccinated, and housetrained. Lives with another dog but can be quite aggressive with him when she gets over excited. Crystal barks at alot of things, and this needs addressing. Fine with older children. Crystal would benefit from a very active lifestyle.
Holly
This pretty lady is 2 yr old, unspayed bitch, Holly. A very friendly, good natured dog, not up to date with vaccinations. Holly was attacked a while ago by another dog, so is wary of other dogs now. With proper introductions & training, this could be overcome. Holly loves to swim & loves to play with her toys. Has never lived with children. With a little time & patience Holly will be an amazing girl.
Bella
This lovely girl, is 8 yr old, spayed bitch, Bella. Microchipped, booster due now. Housetrained & good in the car. Bella is a nervous girl, who is wary of strangers & new situations. Bella gets quite anxious around other dogs, so needs help to overcome these issues. She likes having a bath & with people she trusts is loving. Cats no. Due to her nervous nature we wont rehome with children.
Megan
This cute face belongs to Megan. Approx 6 years old, and not spayed. Megan has had an awful life, kept in a tiny yard, fed on scraps. She is quite underweight, but healthy apart from that. Megan has lived with another gsd, but dominates him, so we have separated them. Megan loves people and affection. Housetrained, travels well. Needs an experienced owner who will have the patience to understand her.
Zak
This stunning boy is 3 yr old, neutered male Zak. Upto date with vaccinations. Housetrained. Zak is a stunning long coated boy, who enjoys being brushed. Lives with children from babies upwards. Zak is strong willed & needs a strong handler. Pulls on the lead, needs socialising with people and other dogs.
Jake
This is 4 yr old, entire male, Jake. A really playful, boisterous dog, so older children only. Cats no. Jake has been attacked by another dog, so needs careful introductions, but could live with another dog. Loves having a bath. Jake lives outside, but could adjust to indoors living.Microchipped but not upto date with vaccinations. Jake has had some obedience training, & responds well to experienced handlers. Showed no aggression just playfulness to our assessor. A great dog for any active home.
Dexy
This little man is Dexy, approx 5-6 yrs old, gsd cross. He is so sweet & gentle, like a shrunken gsd! Dexy appears to be partially sighted, but can follow smells & noises quite well. Picked up as a stray, did his time in the pound. Dexy hates kennels, its too scary. Fine with other dogs, very gentle on the lead. Takes treats very gently. Would benefit from a steady dog to be his eyes. Clean in his kennel, and loves being brushed.
Duke
This is 4 yr old, entire male, Duke. Vaccinated & microchipped. Duke lives outdoors in good weather, but does come inside in bad weather. Duke is very playful with other dogs. Cats a definite no. Duke needs to be given space when he meets somebody new, and come to them in his time. Otherwise he will react. Strong on the lead, walks well on a halti/canny collar. Needs an experienced, patient owner with no children.
Blue
This lovely boy is Blue. Approx 2 yrs old. Picked up as a stray we have no history on Blue. He is very friendly, doesnt appear to have any aggression in him, just alot of excitement when he sees you. No food aggression. Fine being grooomed. A really nice dog needs out of kennels.
Tizer
This lovely lady is 10 yr old, spayed bitch, Tizer. Vaccinated & microchipped. Tizer belonged to her current owners son, who died at a young age. Really laid back girl, greets strangers with a sniff! Tizer has lived with children from abies upwards. Cats no. Ok with most other dogs. Housetrained. Has no toy/food possession issues. Walks well on the lead. Tizer is a friendly old girl, who is in good health.
Gus - the dog with the BIG smile!!
Who cares he isnt a full gsd! Look at that smile! This is gorgeous Gus, who is approximately 6 years old & entire. Gus has lived with another dog all of his life, but their owner died recently & they have been split up. Gus is upto date with vaccinations, and has been a well loved family pet. He is just a big cuddle teddy bear, who needs a nice place to call home now after the upheaval he has been through. Fine with other dogs, and loves children, especially if they come armed with balls of any size!
Maisie
This beauty is 4 yr old, unspayed bitch, Maisie. Microchipped & vaccinated. Maisie is housetrained & travels well in the car. Maisie lives with 3 other dogs, including her mother, who has an exceptional temperament. Maisie is a well loved dog & this shows in her nature. With people she knows she is very loving & well behaved, however she does need time to bond with anybody new. Fine with children, but due to her size, she is a huge cuddly bear of a dog, we will rehome with older children only. Maisie does have an ongoing ear problem, which responds well to regualr ear washes & drops. Maisie loves water & will swim at every opportunity! She loves fruit & vegetables too! A fantastic girl, who needs an experienced , stable environment.
Monty
This is 7 yr old , neutered male, Monty. Vaccinated & microchipped. Monty is being left for long hours while owners work, so is becoming increasingly destructive. When Monty was around a year old he chased a sheep, so has not been allowed off lead since then. Years of pent up energy & frustration are making him difficult for the owners to handle. With somebody who understands his needs, Monty will make a fantastic, loyal companion. Needs careful introductions with people,and socialising with other dogs. Cats a definite no
Freddy
This handsome boy is 7 yr old entire male, Freddy. Was picked up as a stray , has been in kennels several weeks now. Freddy is a great dog, not too bad on the lead. Loves fuss & attention. Clean in his kennel. Not keen on other male dogs. Freddy loves his food & treats. Needs a loving home to call his own.
Ellie
This is 7 yr old, spayed bitch, Ellie. A really energetic, playful girl, who is great with children, but would probably knock little ones over! Ellie is vaccinated and travels well. Ellies owner died a few months ago & since then Ellie has been in kennels. She is very friendly with people. Ellie is quite dominant with other dogs, and dislikes small ones. Ideally a home where she is the only dog, or one who wont be bossed around! Cats unknown. Ellie is in good health. Needs a nice active home.
Dotty
Dotty is a 8 year old German Shepherd Dog, she is very friendly and gentle, she mixes well with other dogs and has mixed with children. DOTTY IS NOT IN THE KENNELS BUT IS IN A FOSTER HOME IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN REHOMING HER PLEASE CONTACT JOAN/ROY SUCH ON 0151 678 0619
