TJ - 6 yrs old must now go into a home

We have been advised by our vets that it would not be fair to let TJ face winter in kennels. He is suffering from a bit of arthritis made worse by the cold weather and his pacing up and down the kennel. He needs to go to a warm home quickly.

TJ the 6 yearl old GSD

TJ has been kept outside all his life in a caravan park which has now taken it's toll. He has been allowed to get very overweight and TJ is now suffering from arthritis and is in pain which is made worse as a result of being kenneled. He is pacing and circling the kennel desperate to get out. He misses his owner terribly.

His arthritis should improve once he sheds a litle weight but he may need medication for life so the rescue will pay for that.

TJ has not been used to children but he is fine with people he knows and he has grown up with a chihuahua. He is a big dog used to an open yard.

Will need an experienced owner. He does guard his territory and is very protective.

We at the rescue believe TJ deserves to have a forever home but because of his age and arthritis we are finding it difficult to home him .

IT would be cruel to subject TJ to a life in kennels and if a home cannot be found we may have a difficult decision to make for his sake.

Please contact the rescue if you are prepared to give TJ a chance.
